Thank you for visiting our YPF Houston website

YPF was founded in Dallas in 2007 to bring together young professionals in the local finance community. After successfully developing its inaugural chapter, YPF branched out to Houston in 2009 under the direction of Houston chapter founder Eric Doyal. The chapter established itself in Houston through various networking & philanthropic endeavors. YPF has previously partnered with non-profit organizations in Houston such as the Genesys Works, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, and Big Brother, Big Sisters Houston.

YPF-Houston has evolved since its inception in 2009. It currently consists of approximately 2,000 members that encompass a variety of financial professions. These professions include investment banking, commercial banking, private equity, corporate development & wealth management, real estate, and insurance to name a few. YPF provides various opportunities for these members to interact through a combination of networking, educational, and philanthropic events. We host speaker series that bring in leaders within the industry to comment and provide insight on their past experiences and current market conditions facing both financial and young professionals alike. Past speakers have included Mark Burroughs, Managing Director of EnCap Investments, Stephen McDaniel, Co-Founder and Director of Midstates Petroleum, and former Mayor of Houston Bill White.

We are currently partnered with Genesys Works, a not-for-profit organization that works with inner-city high school students to break through barriers and discover through meaningful work experience that they can succeed as professionals in the corporate world. YPF members volunteer with Genesys Works through a combination of resume workshops, mock interviews with current students, and many other forms of volunteering. Additionally, the YPF board participates and contributes to an annual scholarship selection process for candidates that allows these students to attend the colleges of their choice. YPF will continue to pursue opportunities for its members to be involved and build relationships within Houston. We look forward to having you at our next YPF event and thank you for being part of the YPF network.

Sincerely,

Amber Garcia-Rameau
President
